About Music In Bloom!

Music in Bloom provides space for children 0-4 years old and their caregivers to participate in musical activities together. Our class provides a safe and joyous experience in which children “bloom” emotionally, physically, and socially while fostering a life long love of music while bonding with their parents/caregivers. Each 45 minute class is filled with singing activities, instrument play, movement, and dance. Parents will be inspired to continue the fun and education at home, and children will gain:

  • Interest in listening, feeling, and moving to music.

  • Stimulated imaginative skills.

  • Stronger sensory awareness.

  • Development of vocabulary and language.

  • Expanded fine and gross motor skills.

  • Confidence in social situations.

Music in Bloom is based on the First Steps in Music program created by Dr. John Feierabend. The program was formed around extensive research into childhood brain development and how children grow socially, mentally, and physically when given “tuneful, beat-ful, and artful” (Dr. Feierabend) experiences. See what researchers in the field of child development say about music instruction before age 3: PBS Kids (Dr. Robert A. Cutietta) and The Feierabend Association for Music Education (Dr. John Feierabend)

She has loved witnessing the positive effects of sharing music with her own child, and is so excited to help other children blossom in all things music, too!

Carly lives in Paulding County with her husband Jason, her daughter Elena, and her two cats Rusty and Chewbacca (Chewy).

“With music, one's whole future life is brightened. It is such a treasure in life that it helps us over many troubles and difficulties. Music is nourishment, a comforting elixer. Music multiplies all that is beautiful and of value in life."
